A Typical Morning
A program that teaches through love and support for all children, addressing the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of their beings.
8:30 a.m. School Opens - All parents and caregivers are welcome to spend time in the classroom.
8:45 a.m. Morning Circle to welcome, share, and explore our current theme. Grand Circles includes all students and Separate Circles are based on pre-k and younger groupings.
9:00-10:15 a.m. Open Play might include: dramatic play, blocks, quiet reading, sensory table, science table, writing table, math manipulatives, independent and group play. It functions in one or two classrooms.
9:00-10:15 a.m. Teacher-directed project(s) with one or more teachers. It may be an art project or collaborative endeavors such as cooking or murals. Individual work may assess fine-motor progress.
10:15-10:30 a.m. Reading time, puppetry or performing a play.
10:30-11:00 a.m. Bathroom and snack.
11:00-11:30 a.m. Outside play or creative movement indoors.
11:30 a.m. School Closed. Pick up is in playground, weather permitting.
